Terms of service

The service

Spinosis provides onboarding experiments for mobile subscription apps. A project assigns each app user a sticky variant, records exposure and events, and can attribute RevenueCat purchases to that variant. The dashboard, assignment API, event API, identify API, and RevenueCat webhook are the service.

The API is paid

Calling the API requires an active paid subscription on the organization that owns the project. Workspaces that are unpaid or complimentary may open parts of the product, but assignment, identify, event tracking, insights, and the RevenueCat webhook return an error until the organization is active. A permanently granted workspace stays active without a Stripe charge. Prices shown on the pricing page are the current subscription fees, billed by Stripe monthly or yearly until you cancel.

Your account

You must provide a working email and keep your password private. You are responsible for API keys and webhook secrets issued to your project. Do not put a live API key in a public repository. If a key leaks, regenerate it from project settings. You must have the rights to send us end-user identifiers and event data from your app.

Acceptable use

Do not probe, scan, or overload the service, attempt to access another customer’s project, or use the API to store data that is illegal to process. Do not send experiment exposure events yourself when assignment already records them, and do not retry failed paid calls in a tight loop. We may suspend a project that threatens the service or other customers.

Experiments and revenue

Spinosis does not guarantee a winning variant, a revenue increase, or a particular statistical result. Auto-optimize changes the share of new users sent to variants. Users who already have an assignment stay on it. You decide which onboarding screens to ship and which events mean success. Revenue figures come from the RevenueCat events you forward and from your own prices.

Cancellation

You can cancel a Stripe subscription from the billing portal. Access to the paid API continues until the paid period ends, then the organization becomes unpaid and API calls are rejected. Deleting a project deletes its experiments, assignments, and stored events. Fees already paid are not refunded except where required by law.

Liability

The service is provided as available. We are not liable for lost profits, lost experiment data caused by an app that sends the wrong user id, or RevenueCat events that never arrive. Our total liability for a claim related to the service is limited to the fees you paid for the service in the three months before the claim.
